Overview

DotaMate is a web application that helps Dota 2 players analyze hero matchups and find the best hero picks for their team. With detailed information on each hero's strengths, weaknesses, and synergies, DotaMate provides players with the insights they need to gain an edge in their matches.

Constraints

Matchup and synergy data shifts with every game patch, so the data model had to stay easy to update rather than hardcoded.

Key Decisions

Focused the UI on matchup lookups instead of a full stats dashboard, to answer the one question players actually need mid-draft.
